I was living in Gloucestershire and always dreamed of living in Cirencester. After my husband passed away I started looking at Retirement Villages. I looked at a McCarthy and Stone Village, but it just didn’t feel like a true fit for me. My son found Stratton Court Village and I was really keen to have a look around as I thought it was exactly what I was searching for.
The staff here are extremely kind and they’re always helping me whenever I need it. Sometimes, I cannot walk very far, but without fail, the reception team deliver my newspaper and post to be every morning. The maintenance team always help with anything I need in the apartment, which included fitting some shelves in my utility room.
I make use of most of the facilities at Stratton Court – I get my hair done weekly by Nicki the hairdresser. I also see the beauty therapist who comes in. She’s recently done my nails for an upcoming wedding. Stratton Court always have events going on like ‘cheese and wine night’ or ‘happy hour’ sometimes I like to keep myself to myself but the offer is always there for me to join events.
